The governing body of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) approves all courses, and the board examines in 19 basic subjects, which are basic requirements for an undergraduate degree programme at the 200 level in any of the affiliate and partner universities in Nigeria and abroad. The 19 available subjects for examination are structure into three categories viz-a-viz:
The JUPEB curriculum is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge, systematic development, practical acquisition, and application of basic skills. As a result, the curriculum motivates the average student to develop a lifelong drive and passion for learning.
